Just a guy with a guitar...
You can call me Al
Albert “Al” Arias began playing guitar at 16, influenced by classic rock guitarists as well as the alternative and grunge artists of the 1990s. He studied for several years with guitarist John Campbell in East Lansing, Michigan, where he also explored jazz theory and harmony through private instruction and coursework at Michigan State University.
With an appreciation for many different styles of music, Al has performed in a variety of bands and settings over the years. That broad background now carries into his solo acoustic work, where rock, folk, and Americana influences come together in a natural, unforced way. His style is straightforward, warm, and song-centered, with an emphasis on creating an easy, genuine connection with the audience.
For five years, Al also led the band All Good in the Hartford and New Haven area, a blues-, funk-, soul-, and jam-influenced group that helped further shape his feel for groove, improvisation, and live performance.
Now, Al is bringing those years of experience into a renewed solo acoustic chapter, focused on live performances that fit comfortably in restaurants, private events, parties, and other intimate settings. With more music, new bookings, and fresh material on the horizon, this next phase is about keeping things simple, honest, and rooted in songs people connect with.
